And no Prophet came to them except that they ridiculed him.
The Lord has taught through His Messenger that 124,000 Messengers were deputed as Prophets in different parts of the world in different periods. The Message all Messengers conveyed to mankind was Adhikr. Then the people of every period rejected It, saying, “We are rejecting what you are sent with.” Thus, all of them were destroyed with whatever punishment they had been demanding. Since the Arabic Quran-reading Fujjar—who are mentioned as the worst people as told in verse 25: 18; the worst creatures among a thousand communities of the Lord as told in verse 8: 22; and the worst creatures in the land as told in verse 98: 6—will not utilize Adhikr, the “one in a thousand” believer should hasten to convey the Message to other people of the Messenger Muhammad such as Jains, Buddhists, Hindus, Jews, Christians, etc. See explanation 2: 213; 25: 29-30; 36: 30; and 39: 47-48.
